We are looking for a Systems Administrator to support Plante Moran’s Workday platform and connected systems. This position is part of the Firm’s Workday Center of Excellence (CoE), focused on cloud-based operations that integrate and optimize essential functions of HR, Finance, and Professional Services Automation. The Workday Systems Administrator will collaborate and work cross-functionally with business owners, stakeholders, project managers, solution architects, and technology teams to ensure the smooth operation and continuous improvement of our Workday environment.

THE QUALIFICATIONS.

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 3 years of experience in Information Systems or related technical or business fields.
  • 2 years of technical experience with Workday system administration, architecture, and application configuration is preferred.
  • Advanced knowledge of the Workday platform, including system configuration, security models, business processes, and release management.
  • Experience managing support tickets and collaborating with vendor support teams.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to conceptualize and present ideas and solutions clearly and concisely, including translating technical concepts into business-friendly and user-friendly language.
  • High level of comfort working with all levels of employees.
  • Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to adapt to frequent change.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and drive them to completion.
  • Strong aptitude for technology.
  • This position may require some local, national, and occasional international travel.
    This is an exempt position, so you may have to work hours that exceed the standard 40-hour work week.

Responsibilities

Your work will include, but not be limited to:

  • Manage and coordinate bi-weekly internal Workday releases, ensuring timely deployment and minimal disruption to firm operations.
  • Lead the planning, testing, and implementation of Workday’s semi-annual releases, including impact analysis and stakeholder communication.
  • Monitor and resolve Workday-related support desk tickets, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
  • Process and fulfill internal security access requests in compliance with our security protocols.
  • Manage operations tasks (support tickets, releases) for Dayshape, our resource management application integrated with Workday.
  • Initiate, track, and follow up on tickets opened with Workday partner support.
  • Conduct regular security audits to ensure compliance with internal controls and best practices.
  • Collaborate with HRIS, IAS, IT, and business owners to support Workday enhancements and projects.
  • Maintain documentation of system configurations, release notes, and support processes.
