Our client is seeking to add a Workers’ Compensation Claims Examiner to join their Texas team. The ideal candidate will have experience in managing moderate to complex Texas Workers’ Compensation claims from inception to close, possess strong analytical skills, and demonstrate excellent customer service abilities. This role requires an active TX Adjuster’s License and thorough understanding of Texas Workers’ Compensation laws and regulations.

  • Handle moderate to complex workers’ compensation claims with minimal supervision and ‎guidance from the manager.
  • Conduct thorough investigations, manage medical treatment, influence early full return-to-work, guide litigation and control claim outcomes.
  • Negotiate settlements with injured workers and attorneys.
  • ‎Responsibilities also include active file management, effective reserving practices, participation in training activities, presentation of serious claims to committee and supervision of litigated files.
  • Consistently exhibit a high level of customer service and ‎adherence to department Best Practices.‎

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 5+ years of Workers Compensation Lost Time claims handling experience
  • Must be well versed in Texas Workers’ Compensation Law
  • Must hold an active TX Adjuster’s License
  • Must reside in the greater Houston area
  • Must have experience handling litigated files
  • Excellent Customer Service and Organizational skills
  • High School Diploma; Bachelor’s Degree preferred but not required
