We are looking for an experienced and skilled Workers' Compensation Specialist to join our team. Key Responsibilities Manage the full scope of workers’ compensation activities and serve as a key point of contact for employees and leadership. Provide guidance to employees and managers on workers’ compensation, leave regulations, and disability programs and our safety program. Oversee return-to-work planning, including modified or transitional assignments. Complete and submit First Reports of Injury in a timely and accurate manner. Act as a liaison between employees, healthcare providers, and third-party administrators. Maintain detailed and accurate records within claims management systems. Conduct ongoing check-ins with employees throughout their recovery. Collaborate with external partners, including participation in periodic claim reviews. Support investigations as needed, including documentation and on-site follow-up. Identify and suggest improvements to policies to maintain compliance with current regulations. Interface with attorneys and represent the agency at hearings. Work Environment: Primarily office based with occasional travel requirements. This position may involve light physical activity including lifting up to 30 lbs on occasion.
