Description

Eagle Pump and Compressor is a privately-owned Manufacturer of Custom Air/Gas and Liquid handling equipment for the petrochemical, oil and gas markets in North America. Eagle’s history in Alberta dates back to 1939. We pride ourselves on creating innovative solutions to meet the needs of our customers.
About the Role
We’re looking for a process-driven intern to help us refine our quote-to-production workflow that ensures customer expectations and engineering specifications are clearly captured, communicated, and executed. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys untangling complexity, building clarity across teams, and creating systems that scale.
You’ll collaborate with sales, engineering, and production teams to map the current lifecycle, identify gaps, and co-create a future-state workflow that improves speed, accuracy, and cross-functional alignment.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze the current quote-to-production process, including departmental handoffs and decision points
  • Interview stakeholders to understand how customer-specific requirements and engineering constraints are currently captured and transferred
  • Design a standardized workflow that ensures all unique customer and technical requirements are documented and traceable throughout the process
  • Develop tools (e.g., intake forms, checklists, approval gates) to support consistent handoffs between sales, engineering, and production
  • Create visual process maps, SOPs, and training materials to support adoption
  • Recommend platforms or systems to support workflow automation and requirement tracking
  • Present findings and proposed workflows to leadership for feedback and refinement

What You’ll Learn

  • How operational workflows are built and optimized across departments
  • The importance of requirement traceability in customer satisfaction and production quality
  • Cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder engagement
  • Exposure to enterprise tools like ERP systems, CRMs, and workflow automation platforms
  • Practical experience in business process mapping and documentation

Qualifications

  • Pursuing a degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related field
  • Strong analytical and communication skills
  • Comfortable working with flowcharts, spreadsheets, and project documentation
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office or Google Workspace
  • Bonus: Familiarity with process mapping tools (e.g., Lucidchart, Visio, Miro) or workflow platforms (e.g., Monday.com, Airtable)

Job Type: Internship / Co-op
Contract length: 10-12 months
