DESCRIPTION

Budapest, Hungary
At Freetrade, we believe investing should be accessible to everyone. It’s one of the best ways to grow your savings, but for many, it seems complicated, expensive, and out of reach. We’re here to change that.
We’re building a team with diverse and unique perspectives to help us on our mission to demystify investing. Our goal is to help our customers achieve better long-term financial outcomes.
In 2025, we’ll be focusing on making our business cash flow profitable. We’ll also be radically improving our product for our core customer base. In the UK, we now have over 1.6 million registered users, and we offer a range of products such as the Freetrade Pension, a stocks and shares ISA, and UK Treasury bills.
To ensure investing feels accessible and that our customers enjoy an excellent experience, it’s essential we have a high-quality team ready to support them. Our Hungarian Customer Service Team is here to assist new and prospective investors with a variety of queries - from navigating our app to understanding some of the complexities of investing. No prior investment knowledge is required, as full training will be provided, making this a fantastic opportunity to learn about investments.
We’re looking for a Workflow Lead to join our Payments team in Budapest. This role is pivotal in managing the team while our current team leader is on maternity leave.
The Payments Workflow Lead will oversee a team of four Associates, ensuring smooth daily operations. Responsibilities include managing and approving settlement payments, FX transactions, internal and external fund movements.
This role is also a key opportunity to help shape the team’s structure and support career growth within the organisation. After the maternity cover period, the successful candidate will have the chance to continue as a Workflow Lead, supporting either Customer Service or other operational teams.
If you’re ready to take on this dynamic and rewarding challenge, we’d love to hear from you!

No specific professional qualifications are necessary, but financial certifications or education would be an advantage.
Proficiency in English is essential, as the role requires clear communication and collaboration.

The ideal candidate should have:

  • Leadership Experience: A minimum of 2-3 years as a Team Leader or Workflow Leader, with proven ability to manage and inspire teams.
  • Passion for Fintech: Genuine interest in the fintech industry and the ability to adapt to its dynamic nature.
  • Collaboration Skills: A strong commitment to fostering a supportive and cooperative team environment.

  • Organise and manage market holiday coverage to maintain seamless operations.
  • Review and oversee cash reconciliations and balances to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Assign tasks effectively, leveraging team members’ strengths and skills.
  • Foster collaboration and communication within the team to drive performance.
  • Manage a team of four Associates, conducting weekly one-to-one meetings and providing ongoing support.
  • Oversee administrative and settlement support, including cash moves, interest payments, withdrawals, unallocated deposits, and cash reconciliation reviews.
