Worker Type: Maximum Term/Fixed Term (Fixed Term) Here at BNZ, it's about more than just banking. We work together in an agile, energising environment to create innovative solutions though our promise "If you can imagine a better future, let's find a way." We support wellbeing, flexible working and have a generous leave offering. No two days are the same. Ko mātou tēnei | This is Us BNZ Technology plays a key role in enabling secure, reliable, and innovative services for customers across Aotearoa. The Workforce Capability & Operations Team sits within Technology’s Performance & Operations function. We exist to make it easier for Technology leaders to do the right thing across the workforce lifecycle through clear guidance, efficient coordination, and consistent standards. We’re a small, collaborative team supporting permanent, fixed‑term, contractor, and Statement of Work (SOW) resources, with a strong focus on accuracy, compliance, and reliable workforce data. Mō te Tūranga | About the Role We sat down with the People Leader (who you would report to) and they told us the following about the role: This is a Fixed Term 10 months full time position based in Wellington. It is a hybrid role with three days in the office and two days where you can work flexibly. Anchor days in the office are Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. What does this role involve day to day? This is a hands‑on coordination role where accuracy, organisation, and follow‑through are essential. Around 80% of the role focuses on SOW administration, including onboarding, extensions, and offboarding. The remainder supports broader workforce onboarding, offboarding, and compliance activities across Technology. You’ll be trusted to manage complex workforce activity independently, applying judgement within clear standards and knowing when to escalate. What are some of the key responsibilities? Coordinate SOW onboarding, extensions, and offboarding end to end, follow up with contract owners and stakeholders to progress actions, and maintain accurate SOW and workforce registers. You’ll also support onboarding and offboarding for permanent, fixed‑term, and contractor workers, and complete operational and compliance tasks such as access reviews, learning checks, audits, data validation, and email distribution list updates. What skills and experience are required for the role? You’ll bring experience in a coordination or administrative role, ideally within a large or regulated organisation. You’ll be confident working with Excel, registers, and tracking tools, managing high volumes of work across multiple systems, and following up with stakeholders to ensure tasks are completed accurately and on time. What type of person will succeed in this role? This role suits someone who enjoys structured, detail‑focused work and takes pride in keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes. You’ll be organised, reliable, methodical, and comfortable working within compliance and risk requirements. Does this role require formal qualifications? Formal qualifications aren’t required — practical experience, attention to detail, and reliability are what matter most. What does success look like? SOW and workforce onboarding and offboarding activities are completed accurately and on time, registers are well maintained, compliance obligations are met, and Technology leaders can rely on the information and support you provide.
