About the Opportunity

Reporting to the Senior Advisor, Training, you will run technical training and competency arrangements for the project, from mobilisation to close-out. You will be the first point of contact for training enquiries and work with project leadership, Construction, Engineering, Safety, Quality, Environment and People & Culture. Your focus will be high-risk construction activities, so crews have the right skills before they start. You will work from Port Melbourne and from the camps at Lexton. You will also guide personnel on training pathways.


  • Key accountabilities for the position will be:Coordinate internal and external technical training for the project workforce
  • Verify mobilisation requirements before personnel start work on site
  • Partner with managers to identify training and capability needs
  • Maintain accurate training and competency records in company systems
  • Audit training data, report on compliance and escalate risks early
  • Build induction materials and support onboarding of new personnel
  • Liaise with registered training organisations and external providers
  • Required SkillsCertificate IV in Training and Assessment (or willing to obtain)
  • Experience coordinating workforce training programs
  • Experience with training records and compliance systems
  • Strong administration skills, balancing competing priorities
  • Desirable: construction or utilities, LMS and ESI knowledge

Location and conditions

This is a regional role and includes the provision to be based at camp as required.
