Job Description
The Workforce Planning Coordinator is responsible for creating and maintaining detailed schedules and workforce plans to ensure the availability of the right personnel at the right times. The role holder reports to the Construction Director and works closely with the project managers, site supervisors, and HR departments to match workforce capabilities with project requirements, monitor performance and productivity, and implement improvement strategies. The role holder is responsible for assessing risks related to workforce availability and skills, ensuring compliance with labour regulations and safety standards as well as managing relationships with subcontractors and labour suppliers.

EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3+ years’ experience in workforce planning activities in a large-scale construction project.
  • Experience in planning, scheduling, and coordinating construction projects to ensure timely completion.
  • Experience in implementing quality control measures to ensure compliance with industry standards.
    Qualifications

  • Ability to identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimise impact on project timelines and costs.
  • Ability to create and implement contingency plans to address unforeseen issues.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Familiarity with national regulations related to construction projects.
  • Knowledge of quality control measures to ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Proficiency in maintaining accurate records and documentation for compliance purposes.
  • Ability to analyse workforce data and trends to forecast staffing needs.

FORMAL EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS

  • Demonstrable engagement with an appropriate (NVQ Level 2/3 working towards level 4 e.g. PMQ)
