About the Role As part of this transformation, we have an exciting opportunity for a Workforce Planning Specialist to join our team and play a key role in shaping the future of our university’s workforce. In this role, you will aggregate and analyse UTS wide workforce data, aligning faculty and divisional workforce plans with UTS’s strategic objectives. Your responsibilities will include analysing workforce data, modelling and forecasting staffing needs, and working closely with Strategic Business Partners (SBPs) and managers to ensure we have the right people, with the right skills, at the right time. You will also ensure that our workforce plans comply with university design principles, characteristics, and governance processes, identifying any issues and implementing solutions. This role is integral to supporting our organization’s strategic goals and embedding workforce plans within our Establishment in Workday. About You As a Workforce Planning Specialist, you will have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, along with expertise in HR information systems (preferably Workday or similar ERP) and data management tools like MS Excel. You have significant experience with workforce planning software and tools. It is essential that you have strong project management skills, attention to detail, and accuracy in data analysis. You are a strategic thinker with a forward-looking perspective, integrity, and ethical judgment, you will thrive in a dynamic environment, working both independently and collaboratively with diverse stakeholders. Adaptability and resilience will be key as you contribute to our innovative and evolving team. Other key requirements include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is required;
  • Experience with workforce analytics and HR information systems – preferably Workday.
  • Knowledge of workforce planning methodologies and best practices.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and HR analytic tools such as Workday Adaptive.

WHAT WE OFFERBase Salary Range: $120,827 to $137,609 pa (HEW 8) plus 17% superannuation This position is full time (1 FTE) role and will be made on a continuing basis.
