The Te Pae o Tararua – Ōtaki to North of Levin Project is about more than delivering infrastructure. We’re looking for a Workplace Success Advisor who is passionate about people and committed to helping others succeed. In this role, you’ll support the hauora, personal development, and engagement of employees, particularly young people and those who may need additional support to thrive in the workplace. Tekōwhiringa | The Opportunity  Working closely with hiring managers, Alliance teams, whānau and community partners, you’ll provide pastoral care, coaching, and wraparound support to help employees overcome challenges, build confidence, and create clear pathways toward future opportunities. Guided by holistic wellbeing approaches such as Te Whare Tapa Whā, you’ll help embed programmes that contribute to the project’s Legacy Outcomes Investment Framework (LOIF) and ensure the positive impact of Te Pae o Tararua extends beyond the life of the project. Responsibilities will include: * Providing coaching and pastoral support to employees from day one * Supporting individuals to set goals and succeed using SMART goal frameworks and performance plans * Building trusted relationships with employees, hiring managers, and community partners * Connecting employees with external services, training, and support networks when needed * Implementing and supporting hauora and workforce success programmes * Monitoring outcomes and gathering insights to continuously improve support initiatives * Helping create a positive, inclusive and culturally responsive workplace environment   This is a Full-Time, Fixed-Term two-year contract with potential for extension. As you’ll be supporting the wider project, you will split your time between the Levin North & Ōtaki South offices. You thrive in a fast-paced, agile, and collaborative environment and enjoy working alongside others to help people reach their potential. * Experience in pastoral care, employee wellbeing, youth support, or workforce development (3–5 years preferred) * Qualifications in Social Work, Psychology, HR, Career Development, Education, or a related field is preferred * Strong relationship-building skills and the ability to quickly build trust * Experience mentoring, coaching, or supporting people to achieve goals * Cultural awareness and an understanding of holistic wellbeing approaches * The ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining empathy and professionalism * A Full Class 1 Driver’s Licence and First Aid certification (Mental Health First Aid preferred)   This role plays an important part in ensuring the project delivers a meaningful legacy for the people who work on it. The project is delivered in partnership with NZ Transport Agency Waka Kotahi, Muaūpoko Tribal Authority, local hapū of Ngāti Raukawa ki te Tonga, and Horowhenua District Council. Delivered through a two-alliance model, the project brings together leading organisations to construct the highway and associated works.
