Fiat Powertrain Technologies of North America, Inc. (a global Brand under our parent company, Iveco Group) is looking for a Working Technician Supervisor (Onsite Site Lead) to serve as Fiat Powertrain Technologies (FPT)’s zero-hour quality representative at a major off-highway OEM customer location. This role is responsible for hands-on technical work, including diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repair support, while also providing on-site coordination and communication between the customer and FPT internal teams. This position will be onsite in Racine, Wisconsin. This position operates independently at a remote site without direct onsite supervision. The role requires strong technical expertise, sound judgment, and the ability to manage daily priorities within clearly defined guidelines. While this position provides onsite guidance and coordination, it does not have direct reports or formal managerial authority. Location: Customer Site (50+ miles from HQ) Department: Quality FLSA Status: Non-Exempt (Overtime Eligible) Reports To: FPT Quality Manager in Burr Ridge, IL (remote) Role Structure & Expectations (Critical) * This is a hands-on, blue-collar role, with the majority of time spent performing technical and diagnostic work. * The role operates without an onsite FPT manager; however, a remote manager provides direction, oversight, and support. * This position does not have hiring, firing, or disciplinary authority. * The role does not function as a formal people manager.   Work Hours, Overtime & Remote Site Expectations * This position is classified as non-exempt and eligible for overtime pay in accordance with company policy and applicable law. * All working time must be accurately recorded, including start/end times and meal periods. * The role is not considered “on call”, overtime must be approved in advance except in emergency situations. * The employee is expected to support agreed location defined work schedules.   Key Responsibilities * Technical Execution (Primary Duty) * Perform hands-on diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repair support for diesel engine and aftertreatment systems. * Execute or assist with repairs, rework, and technical issue resolution in accordance with FPT standards. * Conduct physical inspections, testing, and validation of components and systems. * Ensure all technical work complies with safety, quality, and regulatory standards. Onsite Coordination & Site Leadership * Serve as the primary onsite FPT representative and point of contact at the customer location. * Coordinate daily activities related to technical support, issue resolution, and quality concerns. * Provide direction and guidance to customer personnel, contractors, or internal teams, as applicable. * Escalate critical issues and risks to FPT leadership in a timely manner. * Operate within defined authority levels and follow escalation protocols for decisions outside scope.
