We are currently looking for an experienced Commercial Construction Working Foreman to join our team. The ideal candidate is an organized, skilled leader with a passion for mass timber construction and a commitment to safety, quality and efficiency.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Red Seal Journeyman Carpenter required
  • Advanced knowledge of commercial construction and jobsite management
  • Ability to read and understand drawings, blueprints, and construction plans
  • Strong problem-solving skill with the ability to solve and fix routine errors
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • Excellent attention to details
  • In-depth knowledge of safety guidelines and best practices
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and work in various weather conditions
  • Ability to drive projects to completion on time and within budget
  • Experience in a supervisory or related role
  • Ability to train, and supervise workers
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Basic technology skills
  • Valid Drivers License

Responsibilities
  • Oversee, manage and participate in the daily operations on job site
  • Work collaboratively with the Project Manager
  • Complete Job Hazard Analysis and Tool Box Talks for project
  • Review project plans, drawings and specifications
  • Review and discuss project logistics including but not limited to sequencing plans, staging plans, transportation plans prior to project mobilization
  • Manage scope of work and supervise the use of machinery and equipment
  • Delegate responsibilities and tasks to crew members according to priorities and plans
  • Emphasize safe use of all tools and equipment and enforce the proper use of PPE
  • Assist Human Resources with onboarding of new site crew members
  • Manage employees, ensuring clear communication, to ensure the project is kept on schedule
  • Some travel may be required
  • Other duties as required
