QUALIFICATIONS:

• 310T Certification preferred (310S considered); both are a strong asset
• Minimum of 5 years in a mechanical or technician role
• Leadership or supervisory experience is an asset
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

ABOUT THE ROLE:

We are seeking a hands-on Shop Foreperson to oversee and support daily operations in our busy maintenance facility. You’ll work alongside technicians, manage schedules and work orders, and ensure compliance with all safety and regulatory standards.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

• Supervise day-to-day work of all shop employees
• Schedule and assign maintenance and repair tasks
• Perform mechanical repairs and preventative maintenance (PMs)
• Review completed work for quality and timeliness
• Ensure inspections and documentation meet National Safety Code (NSC) requirements
• Manage parts ordering and supplier relationships
• Support budgeting, inventory control, fuel tracking, and waste management
• Promote safe work practices and a clean, organized shop environment
• Communicate regularly with the General Manager on shop operations and needs
