Our Distribution unit provides Distribution System Operators across Europe with software solutions to support, automate and optimize their grid planning, grid connection and grid operations. As we expand our presence in the German market, we are looking for a motivated working student to support our business development and go-to-market activities. What you will be doing to make a difference • Supporting go-to-market activities for Volue’s distribution solutions in the German energy market, including market research, competitor analysis, and identifying new business opportunities • Assisting in the preparation of sales materials, proposals, presentations, and product demos tailored to the needs of German distribution system operators (DSOs) and utilities • Conducting research on market trends, regulatory developments, and customer needs in the German energy distribution landscape. • Supporting the business development team in lead generation, CRM management, and pipeline tracking • Helping coordinate events, trade fairs, and customer meetings to strengthen Volue’s visibility in the German market • Collaborating with cross-functional teams including product management, marketing, and technical consulting to align go-to-market messaging with product capabilities What you need to succeed: • Enrolled in a degree program (min. 3rd semester) with a business and/or analytical focus such as Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Energy Management, Business Administration or similar • Strong interest in the energy sector, particularly in energy distribution, smart grids, and the German energy transition (Energiewende), practical experience in the energy industry/distribution sector is a plus • Excellent research and analytical skills: you can synthesize market data, regulatory information, and competitive insights into clear, actionable summaries • Confident communicator who enjoys building relationships with customers, partners, and internal stakeholders • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint and Excel) and AI tools (Claude or Co-Pilot) • Self-motivation, proactivity, and a structured approach to managing multiple tasks • Fluency in German and English is required Reasons to join the Volue team • Flexibility: Hybrid work model with flexible working hours, allowing great compatibility with your studies • Flat hierarchies: Interdisciplinary and cooperative working style in a small team, providing room for your own ideas • Career entry: Gain first-hand experience in business development at an international tech company, build valuable contacts, and grow your career • Modern work environment: Workplace designed to digital and ergonomic standards • Meaningful work: Help bring innovative energy solutions to the German market and contribute to the energy transition • Great colleagues: Join one of Europe’s most exciting green-tech companies with a diverse, international work environment In Volue, we cherish each employee’s competence, ideas, and personality.
