Description

About the Role: We are looking for a Working Student (w/m/d) starting 01.09.2025 to be a part of our Sustainability Team in Putzbrunn, near Munich. You will have the opportunity to play a crucial role in supporting our team’s initiatives and contributing to our sustainability goals.
For this position you are available for 60 hours a months, i.e. 2 days per week for at least a year.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program, preferably in environmental science, sustainability, business, or a related field
  • Strong interest in environmental sustainability and climate change mitigation
  • Excellent research and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and draw meaningful insights
  • Knowledge of or a demonstrated active curiosity to learn about textile supply chains, ethical sourcing principles, sustainability practices, and regulatory requirements
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel for data analysis and PowerPoint for presentations; PowerBI as a nice to have
  • Effective English communication skills, both written and verbal, German is a plus
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a dynamic team environment
  • Previous experience or coursework related to sustainability, supply chain management, or market research is a plus
Responsibilities
  • Conduct market research on climate-related trends, technologies, and consumer preferences
  • Perform detailed calculations to analyze data related to carbon emissions, energy consumption, and other environmental metrics
  • Provide support for ongoing projects within the climate team, including supply chain focused initiatives, continuous improvement of Gore Fabrics’ carbon accounting capabilities and business process related work
  • Collate and prepare summaries of supply chain sustainability data
  • Answer customer surveys and questionnaires related to supply chain sustainability topics
