Responsibilities

Context of the project
The documentation of our ABAP Cloud programming model is an integral part of our software. Our team works on user assistance deliverables (written documentation, videos, etc.) to help developers understand our programming languages and development model and to use them as effectively and efficiently as possible.
Goal of the projec
We are looking for a highly motivated working student for our user assistance team with a strong interest in programming, to join our dynamic scrum team. Our documentation is the first point of contact for developers implementing their business applications and a vital part of our software. Building the bridge between our technologies and our users, you will support us in providing our users with the best possible developer experience.

At SAP, technical writers are called user assistance developers, because that’s what we do – we assist the users of our software. As a working student in our User Assistance team, your job will be to support our team with tasks, like

  • Supporting the design and formatting of developer-facing documentation
  • Updating documentation and graphics to fit our standards and guidelines
  • Keeping our code samples up to date so that developers always have state-of-the-art examples
  • Creating videos and blogs about different software features
  • Creating and maintaining clear and concise documentation, including programming examples
  • Defining terminology that is simple, consistent and conforms to industry standards
  • Proofreading and editing documentation for accuracy and completenes
