Today we develop, construct and operate renewable assets and hybrid parks in Sweden, Denmark, Germany, the Netherlands and the UK. We are now looking for a Working student - Hybrid Energy Systems Developer to join our Hybrid Park Team within the Revenue Management Department in Business Unit Solar & Batteries (BU SoBa) in Hamburg or Berlin. The Hybrid Park Team develops advanced models and analytical tools to optimize hybrid park design and operation. We provide analysis for development projects and operational assets to maximize revenues and profitability. Your main tasks and responsibilities as a Hybrid Energy Systems Developer: Developing and improving python-based Hybrid Park optimization models for technologies such as batteries, wind or solar farms. This involves implementing new features and improving existing functionality. Increasing model robustness and data quality through testing frameworks and data validation. Integrating databases and APIs for improved model architecture and automation. Preparation of supporting python-based tooling to improve the process of analysing Hybrid Park and Flex development projects and existing assets. Propose and present implementation approaches to the team, demonstrating confidence in suggesting solutions and explaining technical decisions. Jointly refining user requirements into concrete model improvements as input for Sprint planning and model implementation. Qualifications Enrolment: Currently enrolled in computer science, statistics, mathematics, physics, engineering, or another quantitative field, with at least 12 months remaining in your studies. Technical Skills: Advanced programming knowledge in Python; familiarity with energy markets is a plus. Soft skills: Team player with strong analytical and critical thinking skills; proactive, responsible, and eager to learn. Good communication skills and willingness to share knowledge. Language: Strong command of English both written and verbally. Mindset: Passionate about renewable energy, collaborative, and open-minded.
