Job Description We are now looking for a Working Student Hybrid PV-Battery System Design located in our office in Berlin. Location Berlin Qualifications What we ask from you: You are enrolled as a full-time student at a university (Uni, TU, Fachhochschule) in Berlin or the federal state of Brandenburg (mandatory), preferably as a Master’s student You will study for at least another 12 months (mandatory) Your major is Computer Sciences, Computer Engineering, Physics, or Renewable Energy. You have excellent knowledge in Python coding and MS Excel (mandatory) You have basic knowledge about photovoltaic systems Ideally, you have basic knowledge about economics or business administration You have working proficiency in English You can work independently as well as in a team, with high personal responsibility You are excited to work in the field of Renewables You have the following key accountabilities Integration of our inhouse solar-optimization tool into our hybrid modelling landscape Transferring an existing MS Excel-based simulation model into a python code to interface with hybrid models Creating a Python-based solar yield simulation tool with best-in-class accuracy Close cooperation with Engineering and Modelling teams in the optimization of specific PV-Battery hybrid projects The implementation will be in Python, and requires both good coding competence as well as a good technical understanding of the underlying physical concepts.
