KEY REQUIREMENTS:

  • Fluent in English (spoken and written). Fluency in German is a plus.
  • Enrolled in a technical study program, e.g., Computer Science or a similar field.
  • Proficiency in Java.
  • Experience with software development projects, academic or otherwise.
  • Demonstrated drive, initiative, and a willingness to tackle challenges in a complex commercial environment.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and overcoming obstacles.
  • Availability: 20 hours/week during the semester with the possibility to extend it to 40 hours during the semester break.
Responsibilities

THE ROLE:

In this role, you will contribute to the development of our Workforce Management enterprise software as a regular member of one of our Scrum teams. Collaboration is paramount as our team is located across Hamburg, Munich, and Romania. We focus on delivering backend functionality in the Time & Attendance area, processing the working times of employees and calculating wages according to the configuration of our major customers.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Participation in Scrum Ceremonies: Actively engage in all Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, daily standup, sprint review, retrospective, and refinement.
  • Sprint Planning: Select user stories from our backlog and contribute to the implementation of tasks that solve business requirements.
  • Requirement Refinement: Collaborate with the team to break down abstract requirements into manageable tasks, estimating the effort required for completion.
  • Sprint Review: Present completed work to internal stakeholders, showcasing your contributions to the project.
