Job Description

We are looking for a Working Student (m/f/d) - Data Analyst to support our Carbon Neutral Planning department located in Eching, near Munich at the earliest possible date. This position offers an excellent opportunity for a current student to gain hands-on experience in data analysis while contributing to meaningful projects on our journey to Net Zero. Working closely with sustainability and R&D team of engineers within our organization and contributing to our carbon reduction efforts.

  • Assist in collecting, cleaning, and organizing large datasets from various sources supporting Carbon Neutral Certification and Lifecycle Assessment
  • Create data visualizations and reports to communicate findings effectively
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support data-driven decision-making
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of data analysis processes
  • Participate in ongoing data quality assurance efforts
  • Support the implementation of data analytics tools and techniques
  • Support the initiative to build a requirements tracking framework
  • Setting up local data pipelines and database systems for internal demo purposes
  • Independently work on API deployment for populating the stored data from various sources
  • Strong preference for the candidate who is interested in training cross-technology experts and sharing best practices with other members

Qualifications

Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program in Statistics, (business-) informatics, data & business analytics or a comparable qualification

  • Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, SQL, Python, or R and the scientific computing stack (Numpy, Pandas etc.)
  • An inclination towards software for sustainability topics would be an advantage
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Experience with statistical analysis and data visualization techniques
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English (business language is English)
  • Intercultural openness
  • Previous internship or project experience in data analysis is a plus
  • Ability to work part-time alongside your studies
  • Familiarity with data governance standards for interoperability and data storage
  • GitHub workflow for project management and release planning
