The Renewables Academy AG ( RENAC) is an internationally oriented training provider specialized in renewable energy technologies and energy efficiency an we offer online and face-to-face trainings in Germany and abroad, set up local training structures, implement study courses in cooperation with universities and organize numerous events.
Since our establishment in 2008, we have trained and educated more than 33.000 participants from the public and private sectors as well as the financial sector in over 170 countries. Our headquarters are in Berlin Mitte and we currently have 50+ permanent employees.
Power-to-X is becoming one of the key strategies for the energy transition and climate protection. Different power generation technologies, demand sectors and storage systems will be interconnected. Power-to-X will increase the flexibility as well as the security of supply of the power sector. Transportation, space cooling, industrial sectors and others can be (partially) electrified. Challenges of a more decentralized system with very high shares of variable renewables could be overcome.
To support the preparation of a multi-year educational programme on Power-to-X for 5 countries in the MENA region, we are looking for a student assistant for 12 to 20 hours per week, who would like to take over the following tasks:

Tasks:

  • Support the development of training materials for the MENA region, focused on Power-to-X technologies and their applications.
  • Maintain and update databases to ensure accurate information is available for project work.
  • Collaborate on international projects with RENAC, contributing to impactful initiatives that will shape the future of the energy sector;
  • Conducting research

What We Expect from You:

  • Currently enrolled in a technically or economically focused university in Berlin or the surrounding area (with enrolment until at least the end of 2026).
  • Fluent in English (both written and spoken), and French is a plus!
  • A genuine interest in the technical and economic aspects of Power-to-X and variable renewable energy.
  • Team-oriented, with a love for collaborating with creative, diverse teams in an international setting.
  • Basic knowledge of German (B1 level).
