Description
What You Will Do 3D printing: operate, slice and maintain printers; basic CAD for parts, brackets and fixtures. Basic electronics: soldering, wiring, cable harnessing, simple debugging with a multimeter. Mechanical assembly, prototyping and building test rigs. Help maintain the lab and hardware inventory. What You Will Bring Genuinely handy: a visible history of building physical things (personal builds, hackathons, Formula Student / FRC, maker projects). CAD in Fusion 360 3D printing experience (FDM at minimum): slicing and troubleshooting. Basic electronics: can solder, wire acircuitand read a simple schematic. Currently enrolled (mechatronics / ME / EE / robotics), eligible as a Werkstudent, able to be on-site in Munich. Nice-to-have Microcontrollers (Arduino / ESP32 / STM32) and a bit of firmware. Curiosity about tendon / cable-driven mechanisms. Resin printing; PCB design (KiCad). Driving license is a plus. What To Expect About us Devanthro is building physical AI for every home. We are tackling the ultimate frontier of robotics: bringing robots to real homes, living with real people and doing real work. Our path into the world starts with care for the elderly in their own home - a massive, urgent societal need. Since making history in 2024 with the first humanoid deployed in a private residence, our momentum has exploded. Hundreds of seniors across Germany and Switzerland tested our robots and love them. Now, backed by top-tier investors, our fast-growing team of technologists, operators, company builders and people who care is taking our physical AI from first successful homes to scaled deployments. If you want to build autonomous robots that escape the lab and ship into unstructured and messy homes, this role is for you. We are building robots with heart. Come join us.
Responsibilities
The role involves operating and maintaining 3D printers, performing basic electronics work, and building mechanical prototypes and test rigs. Additionally, the student will help maintain the lab and hardware inventory for humanoid robot development.
