Description

Who We Are
Boston Consulting Group partners with leaders in business and society to tackle their most important challenges and capture their greatest opportunities. BCG was the pioneer in business strategy when it was founded in 1963. Today, we help clients with total transformation-inspiring complex change, enabling organizations to grow, building competitive advantage, and driving bottom-line impact.
To succeed, organizations must blend digital and human capabilities. Our diverse, global teams bring deep industry and functional expertise and a range of perspectives to spark change. BCG delivers solutions through leading-edge management consulting along with technology and design, corporate and digital ventures—and business purpose. We work in a uniquely collaborative model across the firm and throughout all levels of the client organization, generating results that allow our clients to thrive.
What You’ll Do
As an independent and motivated Working Student, you’ll be part of the global IT Meetings & Events Technology Services Team (METS), who is the technical partner to support any internal and external BCG-hosted meetings and events. METS is an established team of global technical professionals with a wide network of AV, meetings services (network, print etc), hybrid and virtual meeting solutions.

In this role you will gain interesting insights into IT project management while supporting the delivery of IT scope for BCG’s biggest meetings & events with a global footprint. This will include:

  • Support team collaboration through meetings management (e.g. scheduling, summaries, retrospectives)
  • Maintain existing playbooks & best practices, and update based on learnings and retros as continuous improvement cycles
  • Contribute into scope, budget, resource and risk management for major events
  • Conduct data analysis to answer specific business questions
  • Write reports and presentations to document ways of working/best practices, and contribute into stakeholder decision making
  • Explore & experiment with AI powered tools (e.g. ChatGPT) to re-define our ways of working, automating process steps or entire processes as part of technical event delivery

The duties described above make up a typical, but not necessarily complete list. You will be embedded in our Munich IT hub, to which you can contribute to connect with a wide variety of roles and individuals from diverse technical backgrounds and focus areas, giving you an idea of how large-scale global IT teams work.
