You will learn from and engage with scientists and algorithm engineers of Delivery Hero in developing cutting edge algorithms for creating a fast, reliable, and transparent delivery experience. Work with us to push our routing algorithm to the next level! Implement and optimize mixed-integer programming models and expedite their solving processes. Evaluate the performance of heuristic algorithms Contribute to a dynamic, highly skilled, and motivated team that values a fun work environment. Stay updated on industry tools and techniques for solving routing problems Share your expertise and achievements at various levels within the team, company, and with stakeholders. Develop proficiency in building enterprise-grade, reliable, and trustworthy software/services. Contribute your unique ideas to the ongoing development of our projects. Qualifications You are enrolled as a Bachelor or Master student at a German university. Capacity to work for one year and 20h per week. Should be able to come to our office on a regular basis. Possess a background in applied mathematics, operations research, or related fields. Demonstrate a deep passion for combinatorial optimization, with a focus on Vehicle Routing Problems. Exhibit strong knowledge in modeling problems as mixed-integer programs and how to solve them Possess the statistical knowledge to compare algorithms and their performance against each other Display creative thinking and adaptability to grasp new systems and concepts swiftly. Embrace curiosity and a proactive learning attitude, taking ownership of assigned tasks. Effective communication skills and a collaborative mindset as a team player.
