THE ROLE & THE TEAM We are looking for a new working student (all genders) for our Tax Compliance team. Our Finance Solutions (FSO) Tax Compliance team manages the end-to-end global tax reporting for the Zalando Group, ensuring we remain compliant across all international jurisdictions. We focus on automating tax mandates through cross-functional collaboration and safeguarding the company’s position during global audits and accounting processes. As a Working Student (all genders), you will play a hands-on role in supporting our Country Managers across different markets while collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimise data flows and implement new tax technology solutions. Discover more about our commitment to creating a diverse and inclusive workplace: https://jobs.zalando.com/en/our-culture/diversity-and-inclusion WHAT WE’D LOVE YOU TO DO (AND LOVE DOING) You will become an integral part of our daily Global Tax Operations, providing hands-on support to Country Managers across 27+ markets, and gaining directly transferable, industry-relevant tax experience You’ll work directly with key internal stakeholders (Tax Advisory, Accounting, Treasury, Logistics, and Tech) to refine data flows and uphold the integrity of the data used for global tax reporting You’ll support experts in the User Acceptance Testing and successful roll-out of new Tax technology solutions You’ll identify and help optimise existing reporting processes and assist in the tax-compliant mapping of new, complex e-commerce business models WE’D LOVE TO MEET YOU IF You are currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program in Taxation, Finance, Accounting, Law, or a related field You have a solid foundational knowledge of Direct and Indirect Tax principles First practical experience (internships, working student role) in a Tax environment is a plus Proficiency in MS Excel/Google Sheets.
