We require 2 supervisors one for the North and one for South of the UK.
SUMMARY
The key function of this role is to support the Field Team Operations Manager in delivering best in class service levels, maximise the commercial value from every job and achieve our engineer revenue targets. This involves ongoing supervision of a team of field colleagues, ensuring high-quality, right-first-time delivery to technical standards, while actively participating in the drainage team. You will be a key member on Environmental incidents responding to flooding and spill sites.
Your own work must be carried out to an exemplary standard. It is expected that approximately 60% of your time will be spent working alongside your teams out in the field so you can lead by example in attitude and behaviour, coaching others, particularly in delivering high standards safely, and leaving a good overall impression of our service with our customers.
You will support the Operations Manager in managing attendance, performance, probationary reviews and other aspects of the colleague life cycle. You’ll understand everyone in your team, their work output, developing and measuring competencies to support them to be the best they can be. You will also support the Field Operations Manager with recruitment.
As a key part of the Field Operations delivery team, you will collaborate and liaise with the Delivery Manager, Scheduling, and Fleet & Asset Supervisor to ensure business efficiency. You will champion, monitor, and be responsible for compliance with quality standards across all field-related business areas, including presentation, health and safety, customer service, standard operating procedures, fleet, and equipment.
You will be part of the critical escalations rota in supporting out of hours support to the engineers and helpdesk.
You’ll need to be fully flexible in the shifts that you work to effectively do the role. This means working earlies, mid shifts, late nights, and weekends, extensive travel and at times working and staying away from home.
Essential Skills
· Drainage experience of over 5 years.
· Water Jetting and confined spaces qualifications
· Identification and root cause of drainage related problems and independent problems
· Full UK driving licence (Ideally a clean licence but with no more than 6 points)
· Excellent work ethic with the ability to work individually or as part of a team
· Experience or qualification in plumbing
· Experience in pump station work (desirable)
· The ability to offer excellent customer skills
· A serious attitude towards to health and safety
· Excellent communication skills
· Attention to detail
