JOB DESCRIPTION

Our Repairs and Maintenance teams play an important role in delivering our vision of providing great homes and great service. They offer vital support, ensuring that our homes are safe, warm, and dry, and where everything works; Places where our residents are proud to live.
We are looking for a Working Supervisor to join our team in Chesterfield on a full-time, permanent basis.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We are a customer-focused organisation, so we know that how we do things is just as important as what we do. You will not only be an experienced Working Supervisor, but you will also have great customer service skills.

You will also be able to demonstrate:

  • Competence within plumbing and carpentry trades.
  • Various secondary trade skills and experience outside of primary trade.
  • Ability to make decisions and solve problems, seeking any advice required.
  • Experience of working in a customer-focused environment within agreed performance targets.
  • Ability to correctly complete the relevant certifications, reports, or other documentation. Recognised competency in Carpentry or Plumbing.
  • Ability to accurately interpret technical data and instructions.
  • Good understanding of H&S within the built environment.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and demonstrate organisational and team management skills.
  • Demonstrates the Guinness Behaviours.

Desirable:

  • Experience of working as part of an operational team delivering front-line services.
  • Team leader management within building maintenance.
