With more than 145 years of service excellence, we combine the precision and accuracy that define Swiss companies to help organizations achieve the highest standards of quality, compliance and sustainability. Job Description As a Workplace Engineer/Analyst, you will be a key member of the Corporate Workplace & Collaboration team, responsible for engineering, operating, and improving the global Modern Workplace ecosystem. You will serve as a technical expert for managed devices, Intune, Windows, endpoint security, update governance, Windows 365, and supporting technologies that enable secure, stable, and efficient user experiences across the organization. You will ensure that Workplace platforms are delivered in a consistent, scalable, and policy‑compliant manner, aligned with corporate IT standards and global cybersecurity requirements. Key Responsibilities: Serve as the subject matter expert for Intune, Windows, device management, compliance policies, update channels, and workplace endpoint technologies. Design and implement Modern Workplace solutions, including Autopilot, configuration profiles, compliance baselines, Windows update governance, and mobile device management. Act as technical lead in global Workplace Engineering initiatives such as device standardization, Windows365 deployments, endpoint security rollouts, and modernization projects. Act as Tier 3 escalation point for complex endpoint‑related incidents, including Windows, iOS/Android, Intune policy conflicts, MDM enrollment, compliance failures, and security agent deployments. Execute non‑standard service requests requiring deep engineering knowledge (e.g., selective policy overrides, exception handling, certificate‑based integrations, advanced troubleshooting). Develop and maintain documentation, runbooks, best practices, baseline definitions, and operational procedures. Collaborate with external partners such as Microsoft, service and hardware vendors, and security partners to support Workplace initiatives and troubleshoot advanced issues. Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of Modern Workplace technologies, Windows management best practices, hardware evolution, and MDM/endpoint security trends. Support Mergers & Acquisitions activities related to device migration, Intune onboarding, Windows image alignment, and policy standardization. Apply strong analytical and problem‑solving skills to diagnose and resolve endpoint and device‑related technical challenges efficiently. Qualifications 3+ years’ hands-on experience in Microsoft Intune / Endpoint Manager, endpoint engineering, Modern Workplace operations, and Microsoft 365 environments. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Intune (Autopilot, configuration profiles, compliance policies, update rings, application deployment), Windows 10/11 enterprise environments, and device lifecycle management. Experience with mobile device management (iOS/Android), Microsoft 365 services (Teams, Exchange Online, SharePoint, OneDrive), and Azure AD / Entra ID with endpoint security and compliance. Degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or equivalent professional experience. Microsoft certifications (Microsoft 365, Endpoint Management, Azure, Security), Windows 365 experience, and knowledge of certificate-based authentication or identity-driven security are a plus. Experience with ITSM tools (e.g., ServiceNow). Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills, stakeholder management, project coordination, technical communication, and a collaborative, proactive mindset. Additional Information Why SGS?
