Job Description: As the Afternoon Shift Workplace Health & Safety Specialist, you will play a key role in guiding and supporting our Processing Centre team to embed a strong safety culture. This position will also be responsible for the facilitation of risk assessments with key internal stakeholders, developing Safe Work Method Statement and assist in coordination of WHS committee. You will walk the talk, be courageous in your approach, engage at all levels of the Processing Centre team to embed a Safety Culture based around putting our Associates & physical & psychological safety as our priority. Key Responsibilities Put our associates’ safety and their right to return home safely every day at the heart of every decision and interaction. Conduct risk assessments and develop Safe Work Method Statements in consultation with stakeholders. Facilitate Health & Safety Committee activities, including meeting coordination and participation. Document and action hazards and unsafe conditions in the WHS incident reporting system. Assist with incident investigations, including contributing to ICAM-level investigations. Co-facilitate WHS training in line with legislative requirements and organizational strategy. Perform regular site inspections and record corrective actions in the designated digital system. Review and analyze safety observations to identify trends and improvement opportunities. Provide ongoing support to the WHS Manager on key safety initiatives and continuous improvement projects. Key Skills, Knowledge & Experience 3+ years’ experience in a warehouse, manufacturing, or other high-risk environment. Tertiary qualification (Certificate IV or higher in Workplace Health & Safety). Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a team. Excellent relationship-building and influencing skills.
