About the role
We are seeking an experienced full-time Workplace Relations Lawyer, based at the Bunnings Support Office in Burnley.
This role forms part of the Workplace Relations team within the broader People & Culture team, reporting to the Workplace Relations Manager (Governance).
You will work closely with our People and Culture, People Advisory, Finance and Technology teams as well as Operations leaders and senior stakeholders.

What you’ll do

  • Lead and support enterprise bargaining, including agreement drafting, negotiation and implementation
  • Drive the configuration of enterprise agreements, modern awards, employment contracts and other compliance metrics in Bunnings’ people systems (including Service Now, Workday and UKG)
  • Support the Workplace Relations risk agenda, including end-to-end risk management and reporting
  • Support the resolution of complex employment claims and investigations
  • Develop and implement initiatives that promote a positive working environment for our team.

Who we’re looking for

  • An unrestricted legal practising certificate
  • 4+ years’ experience working in a Workplace/Employee Relations Lawyer or Specialist role (in-house, industry association or law firm)
  • Demonstrated experience with enterprise bargaining and agreement making
  • experience working as part of large project teams
  • The ability to prepare and communicate concise reports and presentations to senior leaders
  • A strong understanding of the practical application of modern awards and enterprise agreements and their implementation in people systems (experience with UKG Dimensions and Workday desirable but not mandatory)
  • The ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders and influence decisions.
