We are seeking an experienced Workplace Relations Manager to join our People & Culture team on a 12 month contract through to 30 June 2027. This is an exciting opportunity to use your workplace relations expertise to influence positive outcomes across a national community organisation. About the role As a trusted leader, you will provide contemporary industrial and employee relations guidance, partnering with leaders and teams to build capability, navigate complex workplace matters and strengthen our people practices. Working as part of a centralised model, you will have national influence while leading a dedicated team of Employee Relations Advisors to deliver high quality support across Wellways. What you will do You will play a key role in shaping positive employee experiences by providing strategic advice, practical solutions and strong leadership across a broad range of workplace relations matters. Key responsibilities include: Lead and support complex employee relations matters including investigations, grievances, disciplinary processes, performance matters, workplace change and return to work processes. Provide trusted advice, coaching and support to People Leaders, helping them confidently manage workplace matters in line with legislation, policy and best practice. Lead, coach and develop a team of Employee Relations Advisors, ensuring consistent and high-quality support across the organisation. Partner with the People & Culture team to continuously improve workplace policies, procedures, frameworks and systems. Work closely with General Counsel and external advisors on complex matters, including Fair Work Commission and tribunal matters where required. Support organisational change, consultation processes and workforce initiatives through practical, solutions-focused employee relations advice. Build organisational capability through education and guidance on industrial relations, employment legislation and contemporary people practices. Beyond case management, you will contribute to building a strong People & Culture function by supporting leadership development, strengthening relationships across the organisation and promoting a safe, inclusive and values-driven workplace You will also need: Demonstrated experience in employee relations, industrial relations or a senior People & Culture advisory role. Degree qualified with significant and substantial experience in Industrial Relations within a relevant similar industry. Experience managing complex investigations, grievances, performance matters and workplace relations cases.
