JOB HIGHLIGHTS

  • Office Location: Woodlands Industrial Park, Singapore (Work Islandwide)
  • Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent
  • Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:45 PM (5 days)
  • Salary Range: S$4,500 – S$6,000/month (commensurate with experience)

REQUIREMENTS

  • Registered as a WSH Officer with MOM
  • Relevant qualification in Workplace Safety & Health or Engineering
  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a WSH Officer (Junior WSHO considered with less experience)
  • Strong technical competency in WSH practices and regulations
  • Good interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and drive results

ABOUT THE ROLE

Our client, a reputable engineering and construction firm in Singapore, is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented WSH Officer . The company operates across engineering construction, telecommunications, and high-tech factory and commercial projects, including luxury hotels. Committed to quality, education, and environmental health & safety, the company is ISO 9001, ISO 14000, and OHSAS 18001 certified. This role is ideal for candidates with strong expertise in workplace safety and health management, capable of leading safety initiatives, managing risk, ensuring compliance, and promoting a strong WSH culture across multiple sites.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead site safety teams and drive a proactive WSH culture across the company
  • Plan, implement, monitor, and improve WSH Management System processes
  • Develop, review, maintain, and implement site Workplace Safety & Health Management System
  • Ensure risk management strategies are in place to reduce accidents
  • Monitor effectiveness of fire protection systems and Emergency Response Teams
  • Investigate all site incidents and implement corrective actions
  • Review and revise risk assessments to ensure compliance
  • Alert stakeholders of activities, machinery, or equipment posing risks and recommend corrective measures
  • Ensure legal compliance with WSH Act and statutory requirements
  • Conduct regular WSH inspections and audits to ensure staff and subcontractors comply with policies and standards
  • Liaise with statutory bodies regarding licenses, permits, and regulatory updates
  • Conduct fire and safety training for employees and promote safe working conditions through campaigns, drills, and other activities
  • Prepare and submit safety documents to clients, contractors, or corporate WSH departments
  • Provide updates to management on WSH performance and continual improvement plans
  • Coordinate with 3rd party security service providers and monitor waste management compliance
