Through tailored training and leadership development, you’ll drive operational excellence and embed a culture of learning across the business
Location: South Australia or Victoria (1 position available) Regional travel required, with some interstate travel

Responsibilities

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

You’ll work closely with front-line crews and leaders to identify and deliver on-site development needs, facilitate onboarding and qualification pathways, and instil a strong learning culture across the business. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting training needs analyses and identifying skills gaps
  • Delivering targeted, in-field coaching and mentoring aligned to operational needs
  • Facilitating leadership programs to develop current and emerging frontline leaders
  • Supporting workplace-based learning, including inductions and practical skill sessions
  • Promoting and guiding participation in industry qualification training for trainees and apprentices
  • Assessing competency and maintaining accurate, timely training records
  • Designing and delivering learning content tailored to field operations
  • Contributing to the development of core skill standards and plant competency frameworks
  • Supporting communication, soft skills, and leadership training initiatives
  • Promoting a culture of continuous learning and growth

To thrive in this role, you’ll need:

  • Proven hands-on experience in the roading industry. Experience in Asphalt Surfacing would be an advantage.
  • An understanding of adult learning and organisational training principles
  • Demonstrated leadership and mentoring abilities
  • A passion for developing people and sharing expertise
  • Experience delivering leadership or soft skills training is highly valued
  • Strong communication and time management skills
  • The ability to work autonomously and stay self-motivated, while thriving in a remote, regionally dispersed team
  • Comfort navigating high-pressure environments and stakeholder engagement
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and online learning systems
  • A current Driver’s License
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (or willingness to obtain
