BAM Infrastructure is currently recruiting for an experienced Works Manager to work on our Orkney, Scotland project.

• You will be responsible for all the supervision on site and will have weekly engagement with the team to support all activities.

• You will be involved in promoting, training and other initiatives that develop a strong culture and promote BAM Nuttall’s Vision and Values.
• Project a professional image of self and the company.
• Set personal example and promote best practise in safety, quality and environment, leading meetings and promoting culture.
• Manage site supervision, sub-contractors, supply chain and the workforce.
• Management of all operational activities ensuring compliance with all company policies and procedures and legislation.
• Build and develop the team to deliver all aspects of the project requirements.
• Oversee the programme by monitoring and ensuring labour, plant and materials requirements are sufficiently met and take accountability for delivery.
• Ensure all operational records are up to date and in place.
• Attend and contribute to safety, programme, commercial and business meetings as necessary.
• Develop foremen and the workforce, e.g. identifying, monitoring and arranging training requirements to ensure competency and reviewing performance.
• Take an overview of the construction works and ensure that a professional image is maintained at all times.
• Manage industrial relations issues.
