Estates Management Office Works Supervisor I / II (Builder Works) (carrying the job title of ‘Maintenance Officer’) The appointee will be responsible for (a) assisting in inspection and repair works of Mandatory Building Inspection Scheme; (b) checking the condition of campus buildings regularly and compile inspection reports; (c) managing and supervising project works; and (d) performing other technical duties as assigned. He/She may be required to work overtime and on Saturdays/Sundays/public holidays when necessary. Applicants should have (i) a Diploma or Higher Certificate, preferably in Building Surveying/Studies, from a recognised university or technical institute; OR at least 5 years’ relevant site supervising experience, with Grade E/Level 2 or above in at least 5 subjects in HKCEE/HKDSE (including English and Mathematics); (ii) at least 3 years’ supervisory experience subsequent to fulfilling (i) above, in builder works and inspection; and (iii) knowledge of facilities management software or similar applications. Possession of a valid driving licence (Class 1 and 2) will be advantageous. Those with less but at least 1 year’s relevant post-qualification experience may be considered for appointment as Works Supervisor II. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to sit for a written test. Appointment will initially be made on a 2-year contract with contract-end gratuity, renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement.
