About the role We are seeking a motivated and reliable Workshop Assistant to join our team at the Willawong Workshop. This hands‑on role supports the preparation, configuration, and movement of devices—primarily printers of varying sizes—ensuring they are ready for deployment to customers. The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong mechanical or electrical aptitude, good communication skills, and a willingness to learn. Key Responsibilities Assist the Workshop Supervisor with the assembly, configuration, programming, and testing of devices. Ensure new and refurbished devices are prepared and ready for collection within agreed timeframes. Provide workshop and occasional on‑site support to Field Service Technicians as required. Conduct and maintain accurate stock control. Support recycling and waste management processes within the workshop. Contribute to efficient workshop workflow and continuous improvement initiatives. Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work environment. Skills and Experience Genuine interest in working with technical equipment and developing troubleshooting skills. Ability to work independently while also contributing positively to a team environment. Clear communication and effective interpersonal skills. Strong organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise and multitask. Willingness to follow direction while also using initiative and a proactive approach. Ability to safely perform the physical requirements of the role, including manual handling and lifting of devices and components, in accordance with workplace health and safety guidelines. Desire to learn and progress into broader technical roles within the organisation. Familiarity with SAP, Microsoft Office, or basic software is advantageous but not essential (training provided).
