JOB DESCRIPTION
The successful candidate will be fully responsible for running the day-to-day function of the Commercial Workshops , planning , controlling and delivering overall workshop performance. You will be an experienced workshop controller and be able to motivate and supervising the team in the workshop ensuring safety, standards & efficiency by the technicians each day. Working closely with the service advisors to ensure all works booked in are achievable and planned to meet customer expectation, industry standards and technician workflow.
Duties/responsibilities:
- Strong management of the Workshop & team,
- Carry out regular reviews to identify operational issues / discrepancies and ensure appropriate follow up actions are taken to rectify
- Manage the performance of the department
- Understand the connection between , Quality , Customer Satisfaction and business success.
- Manage and plan workshop & resources to ensure that work can be completed as per schedule
- Support the service reception team to ensure all vehicles are ready for handover
- Hold daily meetings to Plan workload and resources
- Anticipate problems based on forward plan / resources and provide support to handle workload
- Monitor staff performance versus standard role requirements and personal objectives and identify areas for development & training
- Working knowledge of relevant service applications ( DMS, XENTRY Products and Truckfile.
- adhering to the Companies Health and Safety regulations to prevent accidents in the workplace
To be successful you will have:
- NVQ 3 – Motor trade
- Previous experience in similar role & proven track record
- Knowledge of Industry Standards
- Full UK driving licence
- Problem solving and analytical skills
- Excellent organisation and planning skills
- Strong communication skills
- Strong team working & leadership skills
- Flexible can-do approach
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £45,000.00-£55,000.00 per year
