JOB SUMMARY

Martech UK Ltd, a specialist manufacturer of lighting products are seeking a proactive workshop controller to optimise production efficiency, while maintaining our exact quality and safety standards. This pivotal role combines autonomous working with team leadership in our Dewsbury facility.

DESIRED REQUIREMENTS

  • Experience in manufacturing/workshop supervision
  • Ability to work autonomously while leading a team effectively
  • A strong H&S awareness and ability to comply
  • Strong problem solving and organisational abilities.
  • Proficiency with production management systems

Responsibilities
  • Operational management - Coordinate daily workflow to meet production targets and delivery schedules
  • Independent working - Demonstrate initiative when working unsupervised to maintain productivity
  • use of power tools and machines including chop saws, laser cutter, milling machine, sanders, spray booth and grinding wheels amongst many others
  • Team Leadership - Supervise workshop personnel, providing guidance and resolving technical issues
  • Quality control - Maintain inspection protocols to ensure components meet precise specifications
  • Health & Safety - Champion our safety culture by enforcing policies, conducting toolbox talks and reporting incidents
  • Process optimization - Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives
  • Resource coordination - Manage material availability and equipment maintenance schedules
