Workshop Controller – Leicester
Salary – £35,000 Basic + Bonus of up to £10K per year - Uncapped
Days - Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week, 1 in 4 saturdays

We have a new job vacancy available for a Workshop Controller in Leicester. My client are looking for a motivated, dedicated and highly organised individual who can demonstrate excellent customer service skills as well as Technical expertise. Responsibilities
  • Allocate work efficiently among technicians to maximise workshop productivity and ensure timely & high-quality job completion
  • Monitor job progress, review job cards, and ensure accurate job timing for costing purposes
  • Manage all warranty and additional work procedures, ensuring correct documentation and customer authorisations
  • Maintain agreed service levels and ensure the smooth daily running of the workshop
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams and external customers to ensure consistent service delivery
  • Supervise and support workshop staff, providing leadership, addressing performance issues, and escalating concerns to the Regional Manager as needed
  • Ensure workshop cleanliness, compliance with Health & Safety, and adherence to all company and legal standards
  • Monitor and contribute to financial performance, supporting cost control and efficiency improvements
  • Handle and resolve customer complaints in a timely and professional manner
  • Continuously review and improve workshop operations, promoting a culture of service excellence and continuous improvement

Workshop Controller Requirement

  • Full UK driving license
  • Experience as Workshop Controller or standing workshop controller
  • NVQ, IMI, or City & Guilds level 3 qualification in light vehicle maintenance
  • Somone who is keen to progress
