Our Opportunity

A unique opportunity is now available in our Longwall division for a Workshop Electrician. This position will involve duties including but not limited to:

  • Assemble and disassemble all capital and used underground mining materials.
  • Maintenance of onsite fixed and mobile plant.
  • Interpret Electrical Schematics and scopes of work
  • Control and power wiring of electrical equipment
  • Fault finding and function testing of electrical equipment
  • AS3800 level overhaul of intrinsically safe control equipment
  • Providing high quality workmanship on time and on budget
  • Maintain calibration of test equipment
  • Ensure all equipment, machinery and tooling is kept in good working order
  • Document control and progress reporting
  • Liaise with Project Coordinators to set priorities and meet deadlines
