We have a fantastic opportunity for a Workshop Engineer working at our electronics head office based in Northampton. This will see you working on our offering including CCTV, Access Control and Alarm systems. An ideal candidate should have previous industry experience, this full-time position would be ideal for an enthusiastic person looking to develop their career in a technology-driven company.

Key activities include:

  • Preparing and co-ordinating equipment ready for delivery to a client’s site, ensuring it meets our quality standards and is in perfect working order.
  • Identify any issues or defects and coordinate with the appropriate teams for necessary repairs or adjustments.
  • Follow established guidelines and safety protocols to guarantee the safe delivery of products to customers.
  • Support with Field Engineering, collaborate closely with the engineering team to facilitate smooth operations. Assist in tasks such as inventory management, order preparation, and general workshop duties as required.
  • Participate in R&D projects to develop new solutions or upgrades.

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:

  • Previous experience in an engineering or dispatch type role is highly desirable. Familiarity with CCTV, Access Control and Alarm equipment will be an advantage.
  • Attention to Detail - Possess a keen eye for detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work. The ability to identify and rectify any issues or defects during inspections is crucial.
  • This role involves manual tasks such as lifting and palletising heavy products. Applicants should be able to handle such duties effectively.
  • Organizational Skills - Strong organizational skills are essential for managing tasks efficiently and meeting deadlines. The ability to multitask and prioritise work effectively will contribute to your success in this role.
  • Team Player - Demonstrate the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment. Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude are essential for effective coordination with different teams.

Additional requirements:

  • Full UK Driving License
  • Experience with CCTV and DVR/NVR systems along with Fire/Intruder alarms would be advantageous
  • Experience in a workshop environment
  • Experience with stock control and inventory management

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £32,000.00 per year
