We are excited to offer you an opportunity to join our team as a Workshop Engineer and Team Leader at our Newbury HQ.
As a member of our friendly and energetic team we are looking for an engaging personality to lead their team in ensuring that jobs and equipment modifications are completed accurately and to the required specification for timely delivery to our much valued customers.
We are looking for a person who can grow in their role and career with us through continued training and development.

What Does the Role Include?

  • Undertaking a wide range of machinery modifications and conversions to meet with our customer requirements including but not limited to coin mechanism set up, conversion of heating variants and many more.
  • Personal development, learning technical skills, and product knowledge.
  • Supervising a small team of 2 technicians.
  • Using technology to process and complete orders, daily tasks and machine programming.
  • An introduction to working to and meeting personal and team targets.
  • Using your own high standards to ensure all Health and Safety responsibilities are complied with.

What Skills and Experience Are Required?

  • At WASHCO we believe in developing and training our team members. Our business has been built on customer service and staff development.
  • You would ideally have experience with electromechanical work.
  • A proactive person who offers the ability to make decisions and support his team.
  • A capability to learn new skills is required and once trained the ability to work with minimum supervision.
  • Flexibility when business needs and customer expectations change.
  • The ability to use and understand various equipment for electrical testing (training is provided)
