CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS.
· Applicants must be qualified and have a thorough knowledge of Mechanical Engineering, have a background preferably in the field of Piling/ Drilling and have experience of Engine Diagnostics, Hydraulics and Electrical systems.
· Be competent in the use of computers and applications such as Outlook, Word and Excel for maintaining records and job sheets.
· Must have previous experience of a Foreman role.
ABOUT THE ROLE:
Due to the continued growth of the Company, we are pleased to be recruiting for the position of Workshop Foreman/ Fitter. Within this role, the successful candidate will be responsible for various duties relating to our large fleet of multi-functional Drilling Rigs as well as various ancillary equipment. The position will be predominately workshop based, however there will be a requirement for site-based work.
MAIN DUTIES WILL INCLUDE:
· Co-ordinating the maintenance schedules of the various items of plant and machinery.
· Conducting regular servicing of plant and equipment in the workshop (site servicing may also be required).
· Assisting the Plant Maintenance Manager with general duties and supplying holiday cover including supervision of the Fitters and their duties.
· Ensuring Health and Safety compliance throughout the workshop and surrounding areas.
· Maintaining plant and equipment records.
· Assist with telephone requests from Sites and prioritise call outs to breakdowns.
