Stevenson Bros (Avonbridge) Ltd has a vacancy for a workshop labourer with ambition to work at our home in Avonbridge. Initially, working alongside another mechanic building up knowledge and experience of repairs, servicing and MOTs. If you wish to upskill to a Trailer Mechanic an IRTEC qualification and/ or HGV licence could be achievable career goals for the successful candidate.
The ideal applicant would at least have an interest in trucks/ trailers and repairs maintenance.
Hours of work are either DAYSHIFT Monday > Friday either 6am – 4pm or 8 – 6pm with alternate Saturdays 6-12pm or NIGHSHIFT Monday > Thursday 6pm - 6am with alternative Friday 6pm-6am. However for the right candidate could consider days/ hours which align with peak demand for maintenance/ repairs.
The Role:

The successful candidate must;

• Follow instructions from foreman/ mechanics
• Complete job cards + other paperwork as required
• Adopt good housekeeping routines

and would work alongside our mechanics to;

• carry out routine inspections, maintenance, MOT Preparation and repairs on all types of trailers.
• carry out a wide range of defect repairs.
• perform minor and major repairs on trailers
• wash trucks/ trailers
