Our department is the creative heart of the school – a space where students work with wood, metal, plastics, and more to bring ideas to life. We blend academic rigour with real-world skills, helping students to explore, invent and excel. Your expertise will be key in maintaining the smooth, safe and inspiring running of our workshops.

· Opening and closing the Design and Technology workshop each day.
· Maintaining, repairing and overseeing all workshop machinery and tools.
· Supervising students during lessons and activities, sometimes independently.
· Providing specialist tuition in metalwork and woodwork.
· Supporting and advising students on their projects and practical skills.
· Ensuring a safe working environment and promoting good health and safety practice.
· Managing material stock, orders, and usage charges.
· Liaising with domestic staff and attending health and safety meetings.
· Keeping accurate records, including a student skills register.
