V7 are looking for an experienced Workshop Manager on behalf of our close client, operating in the Water Industry. It’s the opportunity to work for a leading player within the engineering utilities sector. You will be responsible workshop operations and supervision of staff within the facility.
The role is full time, permanent and on offer is a salary of up to £56,000 DOE (OTE - plus company benefits.

Key duties:

  • Lead, manage, and develop the workshop team to ensure productivity, safety, and quality standards are consistently met.
  • Promote and embed the company’s four core values and a strong safety culture across all workshop and on-site activities.
  • Plan, coordinate, and allocate resources effectively to meet project timelines and operational targets.
  • Ensure all workshop and on-site work complies with Risk Assessments, Method Statements, and Safe Working Procedures.
  • Monitor and enforce compliance with client-specific working practices, site rules, and health & safety requirements.
  • Oversee safe handling and storage of hazardous substances, ensuring COSHH data sheets are consulted and followed.
  • Manage workshop tools, equipment, and assets, ensuring maintenance schedules are adhered to and equipment is safe and operational.
  • Collaborate with Project Managers and other departments to support project delivery and resolve technical issues.
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives to optimize workshop operations and maintain high standards of quality and safety.
  • Conduct performance reviews, training, and development plans for workshop staff to enhance skills and compliance.
  • Attend Client meetings where required
  • Attend site meetings to review projects alongside Project Managers where required
  • Handle any other duties as assigned by the Operations Director.
