JOB SUMMARY

As a Mechanical Fitter, you will play a key role in the strip down, inspection, repair, and reassembly of a wide range of industrial pumps and rotating equipment. This position involves both workshop-based fitting and occasional site work at customer premises, carrying out repairs, maintenance, and installation tasks.

• Previous workshop or engineering experience is beneficial but not essential – full training will be provided.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

• Proven experience as a Mechanical Fitter, ideally within pump, rotating equipment, or engineering sectors.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documents.
• Competent in the use of workshop tools and machinery.
• Willingness and flexibility to travel to customer sites when required.
• Safety-conscious with excellent attention to detail.
• A proactive team player with a strong work ethic.
• Clean Driving License

• Dismantle, inspect, repair, and reassemble pumps and rotating equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical faults and determine repair solutions.
• Carry out precision fitting, alignment, and testing of components.
• Attend customer sites to perform repairs, servicing, and installation of pumps.
• Use hand tools, lifting equipment, and workshop machinery safely and effectively.
• Maintain accurate records of work completed.
• Support and mentor less experienced team members when required.
