Job Description
Main responsibility: Lead the work of Workshop Technicians, in either our Vessel-, or Rig-, Department, and ensure that production and performance commitments are fulfilled.
Tasks:
- Act as a role model to inspire a team of engaged workers
- Together with Team Lead, take initiative to create a positive and motivating work environment and culture within the team
- Ensure adherence to published schedules and delivery requirements - determine manufacturing priorities and update weekly plans, together with the workshop team
- Actively participate in project meetings
- Oversee efficient work flow, and drive 5S and Lean Thinking processes - safe and positive implementation of improvements in cooperation with the team
- Interpret specifications and make sound judgments related to production processes
- Coordinate and optimize workshop activities; including providing technical support, and the intervention of support services (maintenance, quality, methods, etc.) as needed
- Ensure that quality and HSE is adhered to, and implement departmental safety programs when required
- Follow up day-to-day tasks - attendance, time schedulling and procedures
