As an industry leader and employer of choice, we’re Made for More.  About the role   WesTrac are currently seeking an experienced Workshop Supervisor to join our Component Rebuild Centre (CRC) Team located at our Tomago Branch. This workshop operates around the clock, assembly, and disassembly of engines, powertrains, and final drives from a variety of large-scale surface mining and construction equipment.  Reporting to the Area Manager, you will lead a sizable team of skilled technicians and trade personnel. Your primary responsibilities will include ensuring the highest standards of safety and work quality. You will oversee efficient work order management to meet our business objectives in safety, productivity, and compliance with customer, WesTrac, and Caterpillar standards.  This role offers a Monday-to-Friday day shift and allows you to step away from the tools while still making a significant impact on operations. This role offers an opportunity for growth, leadership, and work-life balance.  Key Responsibilities   Lead a team of tradespeople and apprentices, overseeing their work, and assigning tasks to meet project deadlines effectively  Identifying and implementing continuous improvement opportunities enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of business operations  Promoting and demonstrating safety behaviours and reporting processes  Providing necessary support and advice to the team to minimises delays in job completion  Managing work orders effectively ensures meeting productivity targets and maintaining quality standards  Managing external vendors and establishing and maintaining positive relationships with suppliers or service providers  Managing labour allocation of internal employees and external contractors to ensure efficient team operations  Skills & Experience   Mechanical Trade Certification or a similar qualification relevant to heavy equipment manufacturing and maintenance   Experience in a component overhaul environment advantageous but not essential   Demonstrated experience in a similar role with strong people management skills  Strong Computer Literacy Skills (including MS Office Suite, SAP)  Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, interpersonal)  Highly organised with the ability to prioritise fluctuating workloads and delegate effectively  Demonstrated commitment to safety  Experience with CAT SIS (Desirable)  Benefits  As one of the World's leading Caterpillar dealers, WesTrac services a broad range of customers across NSW, ACT & WA.
