We’re looking for a motivated Workshop Team Leader to support our Workshop and Service Manager in leading the day-to-day operations of our busy workshop team. This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll help ensure our rental fleet is legally compliant, well-presented, safe, and ready to deliver an exceptional customer experience. About the role: As Workshop Team Leader, you’ll provide operational and leadership support across the workshop, helping to coordinate workloads, coach team members, maintain high vehicle preparation standards, and support a positive, safe, and efficient team environment. Key Responsibilities: Support the Workshop and Service Manager with day-to-day workshop operations. Coordinate team workloads based on skills, priorities, and operational requirements. Lead by example, motivating and supporting team members to deliver high standards. Monitor vehicle preparation quality and follow up on standards where needed. Communicate clearly with branch management and escalate issues as required. Help maintain a clean, tidy, safe, and well-presented workshop environment. About you: You’ll bring a positive, proactive approach and the confidence to support a busy team in a fast-paced workshop environment. Mechanical experience is preferred but not essential. Effective supervisory, communication, and interpersonal skills. Strong problem-solving ability and excellent attention to detail. Confidence working under pressure and keeping the team focused. Ability to train, coach, and support team members. A reliable team-player attitude with flexibility to support operational needs. A current, valid driver licence is preferred. Willingness to work a flexible rotating roster, including weekends if required. Lead, motivate, and support workshop team members. Coordinate daily workloads and help ensure tasks are completed efficiently. Maintain strong workshop standards, processes, and team culture. Support training and development for team members. Work collaboratively with other departments to achieve branch objectives.
